Control
- 4QD Pro 160 programmable motor controller.
- Programmed for large loco use.
- Programme can be modified by user if required.
Mechanical
- Chain drive from motors to a lay shaft at each end and transmitted by chain to each axle.
- Independent spring suspension, self aligning bearings, CNC wheels (151mm diameter) and 25mm axles.
- Welded buffer/drag coupling beams.
Body
- Laser cut and folded steel panels 2,3 and 6mm steel as required.
- Cab fronts and roof are rolled to profile.
- Panels are powder coat finished in scarlet with cream detailing. names and cream panels are added in vinyl where appropriate.
- Solid brass handrails and stanchions for front and rear bonnets
- Bolt together with stainless steel fasteners supplied.
Electrical
- All wiring is supplied.
- The Pro 160 controller is supplied with a control wire loom and a socket which is mounted on the chassis and is accessed through a small hole in the end bonnet of the loco.
- Power wiring includes battery to controller wires.
- 24v feed to a voltage converter which supplies 12v for the lights and horn.
- 80amp midi fuse and battery master switch.
- A charging loom is included with an Anderson power connector under the rear frame.
- A matching connector will be supplied as standard for fitting to your battery charger.
- All wiring is contained on the chassis, connection for the headlights is achieved using sprung contacts.
Safety
- A 4QD handset with a spring return throttle is provided. A battery master switch with key is fitted as standard.
- A battery charging system is fitted with an Anderson connector under the cab to allow battery charging without removing batteries or having to remove the bonnet.
- The kit includes a second Anderson connector for you to fit to your battery charger.
- Battery straps are included for safe, secure location of batteries.
