Voltswagen Information
The Voltswagen was inspired by the Class KLv20. In the mid fifties, Deutches Bundesbahn commissioned a prototype light railway vehicle for maintenance crews using a VW Type 2 body. The KLv20 class grew by a further 30 vehicles. We use a pair Titan 7 bogies with a custom length chassis to give both stability and the ability to negotiate tight curves. The 2hp HP Voltswagen features a comfy all weather seat with spring suspension and a car style ratchet handbrake.
