Well Wagon Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the well wagon as a riding car?

Both the 5" gauge and 7¼" gauge versions can be used as riding cars. They provide a very stable platform which can negotiate tight radii. Brakes for both versions are available as an option. Both have holes to take stirrups or to fit running boards.

Do you fit couplings?

Both versions have clevis couplings fitted to both ends.

Can you fit brakes?

Yes, brakes are available as an optional extra in both gauges.

Do I need to paint the frame?

We supply it powder coated in light grey finish which closely replicates the full size versions used on the railway network.

What is included in the kit?

The mainframe, bogies, couplings and fixings. We also include vinyl graphics to detail your well wagon.
