Driving Truck Information

Designed to complement most locos the driving truck was developed to provide a comfortable and robust truck for all day use on the club track or the garden railway.

The all steel construction with laser cut slotted panels in 6mm for the chassis and 3mm for the seat box makes a robust and solid truck capable of many years of hard work behind any engine.

The generously proportioned seat enables the driver to adopt a comfortable driving position with plenty of room for safety booted feet on the footrests.

Storage facilities are provided under the seat and further storage for coal etc can be provided above the footrests.

Braking is by disc brake on the rear axle and the brake handle can be fitted on either side of the truck and will operate the brake calliper if pushed forward or pulled back.

Self aligning roller bearings and independent springing ensure a smooth and stable ride.

The Driving Truck is supplied as a kit or ready to roll finished in a powder coated colour of your choice.
