Control system:

• Controller: iDrive 180amp 24v digital controller with onboard diagnostics.
• Location: Power controller inside locomotive, remote handset on lead.
• Handset: Rotary power, direction, dead-mans facility, optional auxiliary switches.
• Safety: Dead man’s facility on handset. Loco will stop if handset is unplugged or control lead is severed. Mechanical handbrake actuates on disc and calliper on front bogie.

Drive system:

• 1 Hp motor located in each bogie with protective cover and air cooling. Chain drive to centre layshaft and from layshaft to both axles.

Electrical system:

• 24volts. 60 amp midi fuse. Battery isolation key switch.
• All power wiring pre-cut and terminated.
• Two 24v 750 watt 1 hp DC PM motors.

Chassis:

• 3mm steel laser cut and cnc folded. With 6mm laser cut steel buffer beams.

Bogies:

• Laser cut 6mm side frames and pivot plate. CNC machined EN8 steel wheels 143.7 mm dia.
• Axles and layshaft run in self aligning roller race bearings.
• Coil spring suspension.
• One 24v 1 hp DC motor in each bogie.
• Disc brake to front bogie.

Body:

• Laser cut 1.6mm folded steel panels Bolt together assembly.
• Drivers access door in nearside panel.
• Seat panels are 3mm laser cut steel.

Finish

• The classic Festiniog Railway two-tone green livery is supplied as standard with main chassis powder coated in black with red buffer beams and the body panels in dark green with light grey roof panels. The lighter green ad yellow warning panels are vinyl overlays which are professionally applied to the panels prior to delivery. We can also supply the National Power livery scheme as an option.
• As a further option the loco can be supplied in a colour scheme of your own choice from a range of powder coat finishes
